Interior Designer

Job Description

The Interior Designer will be responsible for scheduling and leading all aspects of the interior design selections for homeowners; exhibit true innovation for industry trends with strong client communication and time management skills.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or equivalent
  • 3+ years with experience as an Interior Designer meeting directly with clients, preferably in the residential field
  • Knowledge of today’s leading edge and future interior design
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office based software programs
  • Understanding of new home building processesd
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to apply a sense of style to create aesthetically pleasing interiors
  • Strong visual design skills including proportion and aesthetics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, or related software
  • Basic understanding of building codes and inspection regulations related to interiors

Job Responsibilities

  • Schedule and meet with Homeowners (includes models/specs) to guide them through their interior design selections for their new home while understanding their needs and budgets
  • Process design selection sheets after homeowner’s selections have been accepted
  • Effectively manage the information between the homeowner and the Estimating team to accurately process design selections in a timely manner
  • Process design center change orders
  • Submit and follow up of ARC house renderings to each developer
  • Maintains current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in interior design
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Reports directly to the Senior Interior Designer
