Join us at one of our upcoming Design Studio Open Houses:
Saturdays & Sundays 12pm to 6pm during the Parade of Homes®
September 9th – October 1st
At Robert Thomas Homes we have a proven 8-step process of building a new home that is both exciting and rewarding to our clients. Part of this process includes access to our Robert Thomas Homes’ Design Studio and a consultation/design selection meeting with an experienced designer. The design studio allows our clients to get a hands-on look at different options to help personalize their home. Working one-on-one with a dedicated designer allows our clients to create a home that reflects their individualized tastes and personalities. From kitchen countertops to flooring to exterior color selections, the designer(s) provide guidance and suggestions on what selections make the most in a client’s home.
MEET THE DESIGN TEAM
Meet Janelle Rasmussen. With a career spanning over 20 years, Janelle graduated with a B.A. in Interior Design from North Dakota State University. She specializes in new home construction selections for both interior and exterior finishes, as well as merchandising showcase model homes. Janelle has won many local awards and holds a National Merchandising Award from the National Association of Home Builders for her work. Clients enjoy working with Janelle, not only because of her industry experience and knowledge, but because she takes a consultative approach in creating homes suited for each homeowner. She first takes time to understand a client’s needs and priorities, and then makes professional recommendations based off their desires. In Janelle’s spare time she enjoys gardening, floral design, golfing, and entertaining guests at her own home. She resides in suburban St. Paul with her husband and two daughters, who have their own creative and artistic energies.
Meet Gail Dougherty. Working the last 25+ years as an interior designer in new construction with residential home builders, Gail enjoys working one-on-one with clients, assisting them in creating a well-designed living space that reflects the client’s personality while working with their budget. She believes her clients should enjoy the entire process of creating their new living environment. Gail started her college years in art education to become an art teacher, and finished in the Interior Design program at the University of Minnesota. Gail stays current on style trends through continual education with her membership in the American Society of Interior Design (ASID) and National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA). In her spare time, Gail enjoys kayaking and biking. She also has a passion for giving back to youth, our future community leaders. For over 15 years, Gail has served as a Founding Board Member of a local non-profit, Eastview Community Foundation (EVCF) which provides scholarships to high school seniors to assist in the pursuit of higher education. Each spring, Gail watches the smiling faces of 115+ graduates as they receive their EVCF scholarship.
